By now we all know that the glitter we’ve been using for decades (and still use) in t-shirt prints, is a microplastic. And we also know that microplastics have become a huge ecological problem to the extent that we apparently each imbibe plastic to the equivalent of a credit card every week.

Now, here’s some new and horrifying information . . . “Concerns have grown since the National Institute of Health (Bethesda, Maryland) published a study in May finding that, on average, 91 brain samples contained roughly 10 to 20 times more (microplastic) than other organs (such as the liver and kidneys), making the brain ‘one of the most plastic-polluted tissues yet sampled.’ This means that you may literally have glitter on the brain.

Can anyone, knowing this information, still advocate printing with this stuff?
